Leadership Development & Training
Our training experts have extensive experience in school leadership. Our goal is to design staff development for school leaders to increase student achievement and self-efficacy.
We provide staff development tailored to your specific school and district needs.
All staff development provides usable strategies for new and experienced school leaders.
Our learning opportunities are action-based. Participants will be re-energized and fully engaged in learning.
Participants will walk away with usable leadership tips and strategies after each session.
Leaders will learn how to balance the demands of the leadership role and the needs of their personal and family life.
Who is this for?
This training is for new and experienced principals, assistant principals, district supervisors, and superintendents. All school leaders are welcome and will find this training invaluable.
Why does your leadership team need REAL?
School leadership is a daunting responsibility and task. As we all deal with the changes schools face on a regular basis, it is necessary to be re-energized with tips and strategies to manage the requirements of an already exhausting job. These sessions will bring enthusiasm and passion back to the leadership team. Participants will leave with strategies to implement immediately.
What will the staff development cover?
We will spend 1-2 days for the initial training. This staff development will cover best practices of leadership, school culture and relationships that will improve all school and school district outcomes. The initial training will delve into why we as leaders got into the education field and what drives our work. The focus will always revolve around what is best for students and how we can keep our passion as educational leaders to provide learning environments that parents and teachers crave.
School Improvement and Evaluation
Who is this for?
This training is for new and experienced principals, assistant principals, district supervisors, and superintendents. All school leaders are welcome and individual school leadership teams are encouraged to attend.
Why does your leadership need this?
Oftentimes we’re too close to the situation to make a good assessment of where our school is currently functioning. The REAL team will visit each school site and use an A+ Schools of Excellence model to assess curriculum and instruction, parental and community involvement, school leadership, and most importantly school culture. Our team will focus on the strengths of current practices and systems as a tool for improvement. Valuable tools and strategies will be provided to help build a school learning environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.
What will the school improvement and evaluation cover?
Typically, we will spend 1½ - 2 days on each school campus. During this time we will visit classrooms and all areas of the school. We will meet in focus group settings with a variety of stakeholders. This will include teachers, support staff, parents and community, leadership and most importantly the students. A detailed report will be provided with next steps for professional development.
Consulting/Mentoring/Coaching
Who is this for?
Our consulting, mentoring and coaching opportunities are for all school and school district leaders who want to learn and put proven leadership principles into practice.
Why do your administrators need this?
All leaders in education are learners. Leaders get caught in the “busy”ness of the day to day work that they often times neglect to grow and develop their skill set. Our consulting and coaching model is designed to assist any leader whether new or experienced in a confidential, non-threatening learning environment.
What can I expect if I choose to work with REAL for consulting, mentoring, or coaching?
We will meet you where you are currently. Our initial contact will be to determine how you would like to communicate, respond, and learn. Everyone learns differently and REAL will design a program to fit your schedule and needs.
Development of School and District Wide Expectations
Who is this for?
These sessions are built for all leadership constituents in a school or school district. This module is for individual schools or school districts that would like assistance with setting expectations for all employees.
Why does your school or district need this?
Many schools and school districts have not outlined and communicated agreed upon employee expectations. Our classrooms have guidelines for students, yet we frequently need assistance with employee expectations. Employees appreciate knowing what is expected of them in the workplace.
How will the development of school and district wide expectations look?
This opportunity will be tailor made for your school or district. Key leadership including principals, assistant principals, supervisors and superintendents will participate in developing a set of expectations for all employees. Typically 1-2 days of training and expectation development are required.

Why Leadership?

Why Culture?
We believe the culture of the school is the foundation for success. When the school culture is healthy and thriving, student learning and success is at an all time high.
